Can I run 240 Volt power from the battery box?

The Thumper battery boxes do not provide a direct 240-volt output as a standard connection. However, it can be coupled with a wide selection of Inverters that allow you to run 240-volt power! Need more advice on this? Contact us directly for help.

Connect up to a 600-watt Inverter directly to the 50-amp Anderson on the battery box, or if you are running larger capacity inverters, check out our DC Battery Boxes with a Redarc Battery Charger and 175-amp Anderson connector!

Can I charge a battery box for 240 volts?

Home of 12 Volt Online offers several packages that include the option of a 240-volt battery charger. For standalone packages without this charger, we usually recommend the Victron range of battery chargers with an Anderson connector fitted. The Anderson fits easily within the battery box and allows for a quick connection to replenish your battery's charge condition.

The most common option for use with a battery box is the Victron 10 Amp Battery Charger with an Anderson connector. However, we offer larger capacity chargers for those looking to charge their batteries faster!

Is a battery box waterproof?

While most battery boxes are designed to be weather-resistant, their degree of protection can vary depending on the brand, model and materials used. Some portable battery boxes are specifically designed to be waterproof, featuring sealed lids, gaskets and waterproof connectors. However, for most camping and caravans, battery boxes should suffice as long as they're not submerged in water.
